Kaltim Sets 20% Target of Entrepreneur Growth Per Year

Samarinda, InfoPublik - East Kalimantan provincial government’s Industry, Trade Cooperatives and SMEs office is targeting 20% growth in new entrepreneur number in East Kalimantan per year.
 
It is part of their effort to support East Kalimantan development policy and to reduce dependence on non-renewable natural resources utilization as the locomotive for economic growth.
 
"We are targeting to create new entrepreneurs to boost economic growth in East Kalimantan. Entrepreneurship is the real sector to drive the economy amid local’s sluggish economy," said East Kalimantan Head of Industry, Trade Cooperatives and SMEs  office Ichwansyah in a seminar on entrepreneurship, Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Wednesday (3/30).
 
To follow up the target, his office is planning to provide entrepreneurial training program in seven regencies/cities in East Kalimantan. Abundant natural resource in this province is a big asset when supported with reliable human resources as economic actor to drive the local economy.
 
The seminar was  aimed to stimulate the growth of new entrepreneurs from the participants, In accordance its theme, "the rise of entrepreneurship towards advanced East Kalimantan 2018".
 
Furthermore, Ichwan expected that such determination will be supported with adequate relevant regulations. For example, the implementation of the regent/mayor regulation on single sheet permit policy which has been conducted in a number of sub-districts requires legalization.
