Jakarta, InfoPublik - Chair of Women W20, Hadriani Uli Silalahi, said that 70 percent of the issues that will be raised in the working group are unsolved problems.

The remaining 30 percent will adjust to the main theme Indonesia’s G20 Presidency of 2022, which outlines the importance of the health architecture, digital economy, and energy transition.

"We can't just pick [issue], we have to see that 70 percent of the issues are unsolved issues," she said, Sunday, March 20, 2022.

According to her, one of the unsolved issues is discrimination against women.

Therefore, it is important to discuss the elimination of discrimination against women so that the G20 forum will later produce serious notes.

She mentioned that eliminating discrimination against women is a dream that has not been realized, not only for Indonesia but for the world, for example in Saudi Arabia.

Furthermore, Hadriani explained, there are four priority issues that are translated from the three agendas of the Indonesian’s G20 Presidency, namely equality or elimination of discrimination, economic inclusion, women with disabilities and women in rural areas, and health sector.

To discuss these four issues, she said that W20 continues to try to involve women in remote parts of the country.

"Therefore, W20 meeting are not only held in big cities," she said.
