Jakarta, InfoPublik - Police investigation did not reveal any leaks of user data in electronic Health Alert Card (eHAC) application.

The police investigation also did not find any attempt to retrieve data from the eHAC server. After it is confirmed that no data was retrieved, the Cyber Police stopped the investigation.

"Data in the eHAC system is not leaked and it is protected. The public does not need to worry, eHAC user data remains safe and is now integrated into PeduliLindung application," said Head of Data and Information Center of the Ministry of Health Anas Maruf on Thursday, September 9, 2021, in Jakarta.

The leak was first reported by VPN mentor. The report has been verified by the National Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN) and was received by the Ministry of Health on August 23, 2021.

Then the Ministry of Health carried out tracking measures and immediately took corrective actions on the eHAC system.

As part of effort to mitigate cyber security risks, the Ministry of Health has coordinated with the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, BSSN, and the Directorate of Cyber Crime of the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim Polri) to carry out investigation process to track down the case and ensure that there is no loophole to attack PeduliLindung's eHAC system.

The government has recommended the public to use the PeduliLindung application. The PeduliLindung platform is stored in national data center and has passed the IT Security Assessment by BSSN.
