Jakarta, InfoPublik - Home Affairs Ministry and Manpower Ministry have collaborated to establish One-Stop Integrated Services at the migrant worker enclaves in the country.
"Migrant workers protection is carried out by both the central and local governments in a coordinated and integrated manner as stipulated in Article 38 paragraphs 1, 2, and 3 of Law Number 18 of 2017 concerning Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers," said Home Affair Minister Tjahjo Kumolo, in a written statement on Thursday (17/1).
According to him, local governments have established One-Stop Integrated Service which is dedicated for addressing problems related to migrant workers.
"Local governments have the One-Stop Integrated Service which could be integrated with the one in Jakarta in the future," he said.
He added that it is important to put all the public services in one location in a form of a Public Service Mall similar to that of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry.
"The point is to reduce licensing requirements which are often not in accordance with the national standards (NSPK)," he concluded.
