Jakarta, InfoPublik – The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) continues its effort to create various schemes that can encourage the utilization of research results by people with various technologies.
Kemenristekdikti Director General of Research and Development Mohammad Dimyati conveyed the government’s concern on the number of research results that are only published without giving maximum benefit for the community.
"In this regards, we are trying to create various schemes that can encourage the utilization of research results for the community with various technologies. For example there is downstreamization and the like. This is a scheme improvement that is expected to accelerate the utilization of research results to the public, "Dimyati said on a press conference at the Launching of Insinas 2018 Flagship Scheme in Jakarta, Monday (2/12).
The research results are expected to have high levels of technological readiness. Therefore, it involves various disciplines. " If the research was led by BPPT for example, we want the researchers are not only from BPPT, but also from universities, LIPI, and other institutions, including industry players.
He added, it is the first time this year that the ministry launched the Flagship LPNK in the Insider Research Incentive program. "This is the result of a study conducted about one and a half years ago. Hope we can do better," he concluded. (Translator: Wilda Stiana)
