Jakarta, InfoPublik – Health Ministry’s fourth Flying Health Care (FHC) team had been dispatched to Asmat to provide nutrition, immunization, and general practitioner assistance.
Meanwhile, specialist doctors and Hasanuddin University’s Specialist Doctor Education Program (PPDS) team are still in Papua.
"FHC team that has been dispatched will be needed in the districts or villages," said Health Minister Nila Moeloek in Jakarta, Monday (2/19).
“Several ministries under the Coordinating Human and Cultural Development Ministry, such as Health Ministry, Education and Culture Ministry, Public Works and Housing Ministry, Agriculture Ministry are planned to visit Agats immediately.”
Thus, the government will continue to improve Asmat people’s health, infrastructure, fuel prices, and food security.
"A village consists of three to five houses. They cannot leave the village, so we must visit them. They will settle as long as food is available. If it runs out, they will move elsewhere," said Minister Nila. (Translator: Wilda Stiana)
