Jakarta, InfoPublik - Around 80 mothers and their children, with a number of personnel of the Civil Military Coordination (Cimic) Indonesian Battalion (Indobatt) Konga XXIII-J/United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Task Force participated in a Mother’s Day Celebration conducted in As Suwwanan, South Lebanon, Sunday (27/3).
A press release received by InfoPublik on Monday (29/3) stated that personnel of the CIMIC Indobatt Konga XXIII-J/UNIFIL Task Force consists of CIMIC Kompi Delta Team and CIMIC Battalion Headquarters Team personnel, and is led by Officer in-charge of the Civil Military Cooperation (CIMIC) First Lieutenant Andi Siahaan. They gave souvenirs to the mothers who attended the event.
"Women and children and personnel of Indobatt CIMIC Taks Force were very cheerful”, said information officer of Konga XXIII-J / Unifil Lt. Sus Tri Bowo H Febriyanto.
People in South Lebanon, especially in the Indonesian Battalyon Area of Responsibility (AOR) have very close relationship with Konga XXIII-J Task Force/Unifil. It is evident in the participation of Indobatt Task Force in every people activity in the area. Local people also refer to the Konga Task Force XXIII- J/Unifil as "Garuda".
Meanwhile, Indobatt Konga XXIII-J/Unifil Task Force Commander Lt. Col. Dwi Saso, S.E. said that social activities like this are intended as a means of social interaction and communications about the existence of the Task Force in South Lebanon.
"This program was expected to entertain people in the Task Force’s Area of Responsibility, especially children, to eliminate trauma caused by protracted conflict," said Indobatt task force commander Lt. Col. Dwi Sasongko.(Translator:Sugiarti)
