Jakarta, InfoPublik - Sulianti Saroso Infectious Diseases Hospital (RSPI) held a simulation of the Covid-19 vaccination on Wednesday (12/16). The objection was to map the protocol for implementing the Covid-19 vaccination.
Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto said that his ministry continues to do the simulation massively until the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (POM) issues Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). After that, the government can carry out vaccinations.
"We need simulation so that when the time comes, we can carry out the vaccination smoothly. Another important thing is the arrangement to keep the distance between people, to wear masks and to wash their hands with soap,” said Minister Terawan.
RSPI Sulianti Saroso President Director Mohammad Syahril said that more than 500 health workers at his hospital are in the Covid-19 vaccine recipients criteria.
"575 health workers who fall within the criteria are being screened. Pregnant women or have comorbidities are excluded, so there are only 375 people who will receive the vaccination. We have formed a committee for the vaccination," said Syaril.
They are ready to be vaccinated. The government has prioritized the first phase of vaccination for health workers.
The vaccination procedure starts with registration via Google form, screening, health examination, vaccination, and observation. They fill in personal identification data, whether they have Covid-19 symptoms or not, and their previous medical history in the registration form.
Then, in the screening table, they will be screened into the vaccine recipient criteria. After that, they enter the vaccination room.
After vaccination, they go to the observation table for 30 minutes to see if they experience Post-Immunization Follow-Up Event (AEFI). After 30 minutes, the vaccine recipient can leave the room.
If AEFI symptoms occur after 30 minutes, they have to consult the nearest health service facility immediately. They require to return for a second vaccination two weeks after the first vaccination.
