Seven Indonesian Citizens Abroad Recover from COVID-19, MOFA Says

Jakarta, InfoPublik - Foreign Affairs Ministry announced on Sunday 29 November that seven additional Indonesian citizens domiciled abroad have recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections to 2,035 with 1,405 recorded recovery and 159 deaths.

Meanwhile, 471 Indonesian are still being treated for the COVID-19 infection.

Saudi Arabia bore the highest number of infected Indonesian citizens followed by Malaysia, Kuwait and Qatar.

Previously, Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi said the report on the COVID-19 vaccine by Sinovac will be completed in January 2021. According to the minister, Indonesian government has taken long-term and short-term approaches to meet the country’s need for vaccine.

For the short-term, the government has collaborated with various countries, one of which is a company from China, Sinovac Biotech Ltd.
