Jakarta, InfoPublik - Religious Affairs Minister Fachrul Razi stated that all parties must assume total responsibility towards child protection. This message was conveyed by the minister after receiving awards from the National Child Protection Commission (KPAI) at the KPAI Awards 2020 event.
"We all have great responsibility to children because children are basically the leaders of the future. If we protect them and guide them well, they will be far better leaders in the future," Fachrul said, Wednesday, 22 July.
The Religious Affairs Ministry oversees millions of children in Islamic boarding schools, madrassas, orphanages, etc. "We share the same hope of protecting the future of children so that they become better leaders," said the minister.
In relation to reopening boarding schools during Covid-19 new normal period, Minister Fachrul explained that the ministry had already issued technical instructions for those who would reopen. "Students who have already been boarded must undergo another health check. Those who are going to be boarded must be in a good health condition and the boarding schools and their environment must comply with Covid-19 protocol," he continued.
2020 KPAI Awards was attended by Coordinating Human Development and Culture Minister Muhadjir Effendy, Deputy Chairperson of the House of Representatives Commission VIII, the Jakarta Police Chief.
