Jakarta, InfoPublik – Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub DKI) has prepared five extra terminals to serve passengers for mudik—Eid homecoming tradition. Meanwhile, three main terminals will serve the passengers from D-10 to D+14 for backflow.
Dishub DKI head Andri Yansyah said the three main terminals prepared are Kalideres, Pulogebang, and Kampung Rambutan. All intercity interprovince buses (AKAP) are required to pass through the terminals.
"But, we will operate five extra terminals for mudik due to the increasing number of transportation demand during Eid al-fitr," he said on Saturday (5/27).
The five extra terminals will be Pinang Ranti, Lebak Bulus, Grogol, Muara Angke, and Pasar Minggu. These terminals will be operated during the flow and backflow of mudik from D-10 to D+14.
"These additional terminals will serve travelers during mudik flow and backflow, so they have more options," he said.
Dishub DKI, he added, will also continue to clear up illegal terminals which will cause congestion during mudik season.
Bus companies are expected to follow the rules by embarking and disembarking passengers inside the terminals. "We will keep clearing up illegal terminals. All the buses must enter the terminal to avoid congestion," he said. (Translator: Wilda Stiana)
