Jakarta, InfoPublik - As part of the series of events of to commemorate the 489th Anniversary of Jakarta, Jakarta Sports and Youth Office (Disorda) in collaboration with Nestle MILO, as well as other related agencies will organize the 10K race called ‘MILO Jakarta International 10K’ on July 24, 2016.
"This year is special, because we have some new things to present such as family race called Champ Squad Run which is a 1,6K race for children and parents," said Prawitya Soemadijo, Business Executive Manager Beverages PT Nestle Indonesia during a press conference of the implementation of MILO Jakarta International 10K at City Hall, Thursday (6/16).
According to him, through MILO Champ Squad Run, Nestle MILO wants to keep motivating children to live an active and healthy live, as well as instilling the values of life such as determined, sportsmanship, confidence and teamwork to realize the healthy and high achieving Indonesian children.
He continued that this year Jakarta International 10K will be divided into three categories: open, closed and students. Open category is for Indonesian and foreign citizens (at least 17 years of age). Closed category is for Indonesian citizens with a minimum age of 17 years, while the student category is for all high school students who have student cards. About 15,000 domestic and foreign runners will be participating in the event.
Registration will be opened from June 16 until July 15, 2016 or when the registered participants have reached 15,000 people through www.milo.co.id, the registration is free of charge.
All participants will receive a race pack including a timing chip, race jersey and access to directly update photos when competing on each participant’s social media accounts. A total of the first 2,000 participants to reach the finish line will receive finisher medals.
He hoped that the entire series of activities of the race will encourage Indonesian people to further understand the importance of exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle. (Translator: Erik Limantara)
