Manokwari, InfoPublik - Manokwari regency government allocated Rp560 billion for direct expenditure in its 2016 Regional Budget (APBD) which was approved by the Regional Representatives Assembly (DPRD) last week.
"Our [precise] main budget in 2016 is Rp1,128,987,484,105,- and from this figure, we have allocated Rp560 billion in direct expenditure to finance 328 programs and 226 activities to be implemented by all local government agencies," said Manokwari regent Dr. Salabai Bastian.
“The Rp560 billion is 10.38 percent smaller compared to 2015 budget. It will also finance 56 programs and 113 activities of infrastructure and facility developments. They are spread across four local agencies with total expenditure of Rp213 billion.”
In the economic development sector, Rp27 billion is allocated to fund 38 programs and 128 activities in six local agencies. Meanwhile, Rp309 billion is assigned to finance 82 programs and 232 activities in 25 local agencies for social and cultural development.
Although it is smaller than 2015, Mr. Bastian expected all local agencies to manage carefully the budget in carrying out the programs and activities for the sake of Manokwari’s development and public welfare. (mkr/infokom/toeb, Translator: Erik Limantara)
