Jakarta, InfoPublik - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono urged business world to boost the national development through various efforts.
"I appreciate MarkPlus Inc. that has successfully developed MarkPlus Center for Technology and Creativity in Bandung and MarkPlus Center for Tourism & Hospitality in Bali. It is expected to synergize with MarkPlus Center for Infrastructure, among others, to support the development of national tourism strategic zones and smart sustainable towns in Indonesia," said Mr. Hadimuljono in Jakarta, Sunday (1/24).
In the infrastructure sector, continued Mr. Hadimuljono, Ministry of PUPR will support the realization of infrastructure spending amounted to Rp104.08 trillion which had been started from August 2015.
In early January 2016, PUPR’s 2016 Concurrent Infrastructure Development Activity Contract has been signed which was witnessed by President Joko Widodo.
"Early auction and contract signing at the beginning of the year also meant that the economy is growing. Accordingly, early physical development can generate good quality infrastructures that can immediately be enjoyed by the public," he said.
In order to boosts tourism, Ministry of PUPR has allocated a budget of Rp4 trillion for access roads construction into tourist areas, sanitation, and clean water.
"To encourage infrastructure development, PUPR is also committed to encourage the use of local equipment, construction materials, and resources," he said.
In response, the Deputy of Destinations and Investment Dadang Rizki said Ministry of PUPR’s support for tourism sector is very important. Besides access roads to the tourist destinations, the level of hygiene sanitation and clean water availability determine the number of tourists visiting Indonesia. (Translator: Wilda Stiana)
