US, Saudi Arabia Ambassadors Visit Defense Minister Prabowo

Jakarta, InfoPublik – Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto received the visit of United States Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia Joseph R. Donovan Jr. at the Defense Ministry Headquarters in Jakarta, Tuesday (12/11). In his visit, Ambassador Donovan was assisted by U.S. Deputy Chief of Mission Heather C. Variava and Defense Attache Colonel Mike Spake, and Political Officer Steve Weston.

This visit is an opportunity to discuss joint efforts to further strengthen the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.

Both parties expect the cooperation and friendly relationship between Indonesia and the U.S. especially in the field of defense – to be kept well maintained in a spirit of brotherhood and the principle of mutual respect.

Defense Minister Prabowo on the occasion explained  a number of Indonesian Defense Ministry’s priorities programs to the U.S. Ambassador.

Following Donovan’s visit, Prabowo Subianto also received the visit of Saudi Arabia ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Esam A. Abid Althagafi.

Saudi Arabia Ambassador Esam’s visit was assisted by Saudi Arabia Deputy Ambassador Yahya Hassan Alqahtani.

In the two visits, Indonesian Defense Minister was assisted by Defense Ministry’s Deputy Minister, Defense Ministry’s Secretary General, Defense Strategy’s Director General, Head of Defense Facility Agency, and Head of the Public Relations Bureau.
