Jakarta, InfoPublik-Home Minister M.Tito Karnavian said violence perpetrators at the Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) will be processed in accordance with the laws and regulations.
"I went to the Police Academy for four years, so I understand very well how to go through such education process," Tito said in his written statement after inaugurating 1,608 new IPDN cadets of class of 2019 at IPDN campus, Jatinangor, West Java, Thursday (31/10/2019).
Tito emphasized that no physical violence are allowed in education at IPDN.
"I always keep up with police education systems in various countries. Fatal punishments shall not be inflicted. Educative ones, such as push-ups or squat jumps are acceptable," he said.
"When I was the National Police Chief, ten cadets were expelled from the police academy because of violence acts," he concluded. (Reporter: eko Budiono, Translator: Erik Limantara)
