BNPB Personnel to Participate in TNI Anniversary

Jakarta, InfoPublik- A total of 108 employees of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) will participate in a parade which will take place on the 74^th Anniversary of the Indonesian Military (TNI) at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta.

BNPB spokeperson Agus Wibowo explained that BNPB was included in a joint battalion consisting of one BNPB company, one National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) company and one Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla) company.

"This battalion will be grouped in the 7^th Brigade during the 74^th TNI Anniversary ceremony on Saturday," he said in his statement on Thursday (3/10/2019).

He also explained that BNPB team and the committee have been preparing the troops by conducting marching exercises from the first week of September 2019 until now. "The exercises take place at the areas of BNPB office, Senayan, Kemayoran and Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base," he said.

He iterated that BNPB and the TNI will make the best of the anniversary moment to be the pride of the people by being professional when undertaking humanitarian missions in disaster mitigation.

The peak event of the 74^th TNI Anniversary will take place on Saturday (5/10) at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, East Jakarta.

On that occasion, the TNI will perform demonstrations of, among others, alutsista (strategic primary weaponry defense system), military martial arts, skydiving, and aerobatic.
