Jakarta, InfoPublik—Developing strong bilateral and multilateral cooperation has become one of the focuses of the national Narcotics Agency (BNN) in combating illicit drug trafficking by international networks.
In this regards, BNN strives to achieve its goals through various work visits, meetings and bilateral meetings with neighboring countries, including Singapore.
During a working visit to Singapore, a BNN delegation visited the Indonesian Embassy in the lion country. The BNN delegation led by Deputy for Law and Cooperation, Puji Sarwono was received by the Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, I Gede Ngurah Seajaya.
Puji said that his visit to Singapore was to attend a bilateral meeting between BNN and Singapore’s Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) which was held on Tuesday (9/7).
Important points highlighted in the discussion were sharing information related to the handling of narcotics cases and cooperation in the field of illicit drug eradication.
I Gede Ngurah Swajaya expected that the bilateral meeting would bring mutual benefits to both Indonesia and Singapore.
During the meeting with the Indonesian Ambassador, Deputy for Law and Cooperation also requested for the embassy’s assistance should any problem needing any mutual legal assistant (MLA) arises. (Reporter: John Rico, Translator: Penni Patmawati Rusman)
