Jakarta, InfoPublik - A number of seized assets from corruption cases handled by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) were handed over to the Attorney General's Office (AGO).
The symbolic handover of the assets was led by KPK chair Agus Rahardjo to Attorney General H.M. Prasetyo and was witnessed by Deputy Finance Minister Mardiasmo at AGO in Jakarta, Tuesday (7/24).
Prasetyo said that the use of the state’s seized assets had several benefits including the reduction of state’s maintenance costs and the saving of national budget from procuring facilities and infrastructures.
"What we are doing right now is a form of togetherness and a proof of support between law enforcement officers," Prasetyo said.
Agus Rahardjo explained the seized assets handed over to the AGO included from the case of the former national traffic police commander Insp. Gen. Djoko Susilo, in the form of one 2013 Toyota Fortuner 2.5 GAT worth Rp274,564,000; one 2007 Toyota Kijang Innova V XW43 worth Rp94. 934,000; and one 1996 Isuzu worth Rp28,380,000.
