National enterpreneurship bill will boost growth

Jakarta, InfoPublik – Member of the House of Representatives’ special committee for national entrepreneurship bill Muhamad Nur Purnamasidi said that the bill had the potential to boost entrepreneurship growth among young people.

"This [the bill] is to boost Indonesia’s entrepreneurship competitiveness," said Muhamad Nur Purnamasidi at the DPR building in Jakarta, Tuesday (2/13).

According to him, the bill needs to be passed immediately because it is in line with government program of cultivating entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs among youths. Therefore, the deliberation must be done carefully to address the needs of young people when building a business.

"The discussion needs to be done carefully to produce a protective regulation," he said.

The bill will also be able to generate entrepreneur friendly local regulations. Sometimes, central regulation has not been aligned with local regulation so that the entrepreneurship growth is slow.

He continued the bill is in the deliberation stage. It must pass several more stages in order to officially enacted.

"Before the bill is passed as a law, first, it must be synchronized with other regulations to avoid future overlapping," he concluded. (Translator: Wilda Stiana)
