President: No Room for Terrorism in the Country

Jakarta, InfoPublik—President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo strongly condemned the terror attack happened in Sigi Regency of Central Sulawesi Province. The President emphasized that there is no place in the country for these acts of terrorism.

"Once again, I emphasize that there is no place in our country for terrorism," said the President in his statement at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday (30/11).

The President has instructed the Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri) to thoroughly investigate the terrorist network down to its roots. In addition, President also instructed the National Police Chief and the TNI Commander to increase vigilance.

The President also expressed deep condolences to the families of the victims, and compensation will be given for them by the government.

Responding to such act of terror, the President appeals to all citizens  to stay calm and maintain unity while increasing vigilance. It is in this very situation that all elements of the society must unite against terrorism.
