Jakarta, InfoPublik – House of Representatives (DPR RI) Commission X asked Youth and Sports Minister (Menpora) Imam Nahrawi to explain the ministry’s 2016 Central Government Financial Report (LKPP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).
“Youth and Sports Ministry received the disclaimer opinion. We, the Commission X, regretted this,” said the Deputy Chairman of DPR RI Commission X Sutan Adil in the working meeting with the minister at the House’s Office Building, Jakarta, Monday (5/29).
Sutan added that Youth and Sport Ministry as the working partner of DPR RI Commission X expected the best outcome in the budget management and received the Reasonable without Exception (WTP) opinion.
He hoped that when the working meeting was completed, the ministry would be able to overcome every obstacles faced by the team so the budget management could be classified as WTP. “The problems must be solved,” said Sutan.
Minister Imam Nahrawi responded and admitted that BPK had given information about the disclaimer opinion. There were 16 findings which were worth Rp144 billion.
However, the ministry had formulated various efforts and strategies in order to receive WTP opinion for the next audit. “The Ministry is taking strategic measures to overcome the condition,” said Imam.
In addition, DPR Deputy Speaker Taufik Kurniawan explained that the audit report (LHP) on 2016 LKPP from BPK would be followed up in the next three months.
“In accordance with DPR’s code of conduct article 161, the audit report should be submitted by BPK to DPR no later than three months,” said Taufik Kurniawan in the plennary meeting, Jakarta, Friday (5/19).
He continued that, in the future, every fraction would be given the opportunity to discuss the LHP in a meeting with related working partner. “DPR, through all fractions, would deliver their consideration on the audit report,” he concluded. (Translator: Erik Limantara)
