Jakarta, InfoPublik – Polda Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General M Iriawan appreciated the public for taking part in maintaining security and order during the 2nd round of Jakarta’s regional election.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Argo Yuwono explained that Polda Metro Jaya Police Chief and Jaya Military Regional Command Commander conveyed their apreciation to the people of Jakarta for the conducive state of the 2nd round of Jakarta’s regional election.
"The voting and vote counting proceeded uninterruptedly due to support of all elements of society," he said in Jakarta on Thursday (4/20).
Argo said there were several small incidents resulted from misunderstanding, and were successfully resolved by the election organizers and security apparatus..
Previously, Metro Jaya Police Chief said they received reports saying that a group of people swarmed the polling stations (TPS). However, he made sure that Jakarta was safe and the voting process went smoothly. (Translator: Wilda Stiana)
