Jakarta, InfoPublik- National police spokeperson Insp. Gen. Boy Rafli Amar said his administration will coordinate with the General Elections Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Board (Bawaslu) related to the security of 2017 Regional Simultaneous Election quite period.
"We are coordinating with the KPU and Bawaslu to maintain security of simultaneous election. All stake holders are expected to contribute," he said at the National Police Headquarters in Jakarta, Thursday (2/2).
Boy explained that this measure was taken to create peace prior to simultaneous regional elections. We implore not to hold demonstrations related to the elections during quiet period. "We implore inform you not to hold demonstration, particularly from 12 to 14 February," he said.
Quiet period of 2017 regional election will last three days before the voting that will be held on February 15. (Translator: Siti Chodijah)
