Jakarta, InfoPublik - Jakarta Provincial Government held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to obtain inputs regarding the draft of Governor Regulation (pergub) on Management of Low-cost Apartment.
"The ideas generated from the FGD will be formulated in the upcoming regulations," said Acting Governor of Jakarta Sumarsono at Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (25/1).
According to him, the issues concerning low-cost apartment need to be addressed in a timely manner. The stipulation of governor regulation becomes Jakarta Provincial Government’s discretion before Government Regulation (PP) derived from Law Number 20 of 2011 on Low-cost Apartment is stipulated.
"After we have the Government Regulation, the Governor Regulation will later be adjusted. That is the principle since the dynamics in the field run quickly," he explained.
The regulation among other arranges the establishment of Owners and Tenants Apartment Housing Unit Association (P3SRS).
He added that it is necessary since there are a lot of problems particularly submitted by P3SRS. There are so many disputes, dissatisfaction experienced by low-cost apartment tenants towards the developer, intimidation, false allegations against the government, and so on.
Also present at the forum were representatives from Public Works and Housing Ministry, representatives from Low-cost Apartment tenants Association, representatives of disputes agency, consumers, universities, experts, and Ombudsman.
"In conclusion, we will form small teams whose duty is to formulate governor regulation’s draft on low-cost apartment management which accommodates all three parties, namely the tenant, the owner, and the government," he said. (Translator: Siti Chodijah)
