Jakarta, InfoPublik - Indonesian Military (TNI) is prepreparing the engineer company task force (Task Kizi) TNI Garuda Contingent (Konga) XXXVII-C/Minusca which will serve as the United Nations’ peacekeeping force for a year in the Central African Republic (CAR).
According to TNI Peacekeeping Mission Center (PMPP) Commander Brigadier General AM Putranto, personnel of TNI Kizi Task Force Konga XXXVII-C/Minusca (Multi-Dimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic) joining the Pre Deployment Training (PDT) at the TNI Peacekeeping Mission Center are soldiers chosen through a rigorous and difficult selection.
Putranto explained the training materials that will be obtained by the soldiers includes the Core Pre Deployment Training Materials (CPTM), Core Pre Deployment Training (CPDT), technical, supporting and some application materials designed specifically to support the smoothness of the implementation of the tasks.
"Task Force personnels must understand the characteristics of African region which is of course different from our country, in terms of its geographic, demographic as well as social and cultural conditions," he said when opening the pre-assignment exercise of TNI Kizi Task Force Konga XXXVII-C/Minusca at TNI PMPP, Sentul, Bogor, West Java, Monday (5/9).
He explained that all materials provided to participants of PDT are preparation provisions that are designed in accordance with standard operating procedures and Rule of Engagment (ROE) in mission area and in line with the demands of the assignment operation,” said Brigadier General AM Putranto.
The number of military personnels joining the TNI Task Force Kizi Konga XXXVII-C/Minusca is 200 people, consisting of 178 Army personnels, 18 Navy personnels and 4 Air Force personnels, under the command of Major Czi Widya Wijanarko as Task Force Commander. (Translator : Erik Limantara).
