Jakarta, InfoPublik - The Ministry of Home Affairs is preparing competency test for Civil Servant (ASN). The test is to find out whether the civil servant has workload according to the expertise or not.
"We are preparing guideline for the competency test," said the MoHA’s Head of Human Resources Development Agency, Teguh Setyadi, in his office in Jakarta, Monday (2/22).
According to Mr. Setyadi, he will coordinate with the Ministry’s Personnel and Organization Bureaus to review the test results. "Personnel and Organization Bureaus will coordinate in organizing civil servants structure in the future," he said.
Meanwhile, Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, the Chairman of the Indonesian Civil Servants Corps’ National Executive Council (DPN Korpri), added that definite instruments and benchmarks are necessary in downsizing civil servants. The reasons have to be well considered, for example, poor performance or other things.
"We have to find the problem first. Why is the personnel management ineffective? Is it because too many employees or the poor quality of employees?" he said. (Translator: Wilda Stiana)
