President Jokowi: Indonesia-Singapore Cooperation Must Be Developed

Jakarta, InfoPublik - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) underlined that the development of relation and cooperation with Singapore is a must.
 
It was stated by the Indonesian Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs A.M. Fathir after accompanying the President receiving the Foreign Minister of Singapore Vivian Balakrishnan at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (1/13).
 
President Jokowi stressed the cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore—the largest investor in the country—must be developed to bring mutual benefits for both, Mr. Fathir said.
 
 
Appreciation on Indonesia's Economic Policy
 
Minister Balakhrisnan greatly appreciates the Indonesian Government’s economic policy, especially on the deregulation and the simplification of procedures. He expressed his confidence and trust to instill greater investment in Indonesia. Singapore has a great faith and confidence to invest more in Indonesia, said Mr. Fathir.
 
"Related to the haze, he expressed the appreciation from the Singaporean Government on the measures taken by President Jokowi.
 
"He [Foreign Minister of Singapore] also believes that the conditions of the future will be better and is willing to cooperate with Indonesia," Mr. Fathir concluded.
 
Also present at the meeting were the Indonesian State Secretary Minister Pratikno and the Singaporean Ambassador to Indonesia Anil Kumar Nayar. (Translator : Erik Limantara)
