Jakarta, InfoPublik – Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) Ade Komarudin urged all factions of political parties to strengthen their commitment in performing their duties as the people’s representatives.
Mr. Komarudin said that currently the legislature has not being optimal in carrying out its functions. For example, they only produced three regulations last year. "Our legislative are less productive; they could only completed three laws. We have to evaluate it," he said after being sworn in as the Speaker of the House of Representatives at the Parliament Building in Jakarta, Monday (1/11).
In order to realize a strong commitment in absorbing people’s aspirations, the House Speaker will actively conduct intensive coordination meetings with political party faction leaders. Good communication between factions is expected to improve their performance.
"We believe that with a good and intensive communication, we would be able to finish tasks even the most complicated DPR agenda," he said.
