Jakarta, InfoPublik – The foreign ministers of G20 member countries who will meet in Bali should follow up on the positive results of President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo visit to Ukraine and Russia. It is conveyed by the former Indonesian Ambassador to South Africa Sugeng Raharjo, in a written statement, Saturday, July 2, 2022. According to the veteran diplomat, there are at least four positive points from President Jokowi's visit to Ukraine and Russia, after attending the G7 Summit in Germany. "First, it is encouraged room for dialogue and find common ground to reach a peace agreement. Second, Ukraine and Russia have agreed to open route for wheat exports from Ukraine and grain commodities and fertilizer from Russia," said Sugeng. The third point relates to the agreement of the G7 member countries not to impose economic sanctions on Russian grain commodities and fertilizer, he said. "Fourth, the G7 member countries and Russia agreed that wheat, grain, and fertilizer commodities will re-enter the supply chain of world markets," he said. While attending the G7 Summit in Elmau, Germany, on June 27, 2022, President Jokowi emphasized Indonesia's commitment and efforts for climate change and energy transition, but Indonesia requires large amounts of investment coupled with technology transfer. After attending the summit which was attended by leaders of Germany, the United States, Japan, Britain, Canada, France and Italy, as well as India, President Jokowi continued his visit for peace mission to Ukraine and Russia.
Constitutional Mandate

The G20 is a cooperation forum consisting of Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States and European Union. For the first time, Indonesia holds the presidency of an international forum that focuses on policy coordination in the economic and development fields from December 1, 2021 to November 30, 2022.
