Jakarta, InfoPublik - Vice President Ma'ruf Amin stated that the Indonesian diaspora contributes to Indonesia's advancing economic growth since it plays a crucial role in the introduction of various halal products owned by domestic business actors.

Indonesia is renowned for its preponderant Muslim population, as well as a variety of halal products.

The Vice President stated in a press statement on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, that Indonesia is one of the countries most concerned with Muslim-friendly tourism.

In line with this, the Vice President stated that the Japanese Government was motivated to expand the halal industry for a variety of reasons, one of which was the growing number of Muslim travelers to Japan.

"We are also attempting to make Indonesia the leading halal producer in the world," said the Vice President.

Thus, the Vice President said, the government continues to develop synergy with all domestic and international players in order to speed it. Vice President Ma'ruf Amin also utilized his visit to the country of Sakura to learn from the experience of Indonesian business actors in the development of halal products.

"On this auspicious occasion, I’d like to hear about your experiences in starting and developing a halal product business in Japan. What are the obstacles and inputs for increasing the business of Indonesian halal products," he concluded.
