Gresik, InfoPublik – Industry Minister Airlangga Hartanto visited JIIPE (Java Integrated and Industrial and Port Estate) region located in Gresik, East Java, on Thursday (8/4) to directly review the development process.
According to JIIPE Board of Directors member, investment has currently reached RP 4 trillion and 1,400 hectares of land has been acquired from the 1,761 hectares reserved for industrial land.
"In addition, 12 companies have signed MoU with us although they have not started the construction yet. Meanwhile, PT. Unichem Candi Indonesia will be ready to operate in February 2017," said JIIPE Board of Directors.
Industry Minister also expected to learn the water supply for the industrial use in JIIPE. "Wwhere is the source and to what extend is JIIPE’s water consumstion," said Airlangga.
Gresik Regent Dr. Sambari Halim Radianto said that local government has facilitated the water supply from Gerak Sembayat dam. "We will prepare 3,000 liters of supply per second for JIIPE and currently master plan has been completed," said the Regent.
