Tangerang city Police Chief also communicated with the Boen Tek Bio temple management as well as directly supervised the Tangerang City Chinese community at the monastery.
The Chinese New Year celebration at the the temple was considered secure, with security personnel from the Tangerang Metro Police and the Indonesian Military (TNI) securing the venue.
Chinese descendants from the area began to arrive at the temple since morning. They were wearing red clothes, typical of Chinese New Year. They came to pray at this city’s oldest temple.
In addition to Boen Tek Bio temple, Tangerang Metro Police officers also guarded the Nimmala Boen San Bio temple, located on Jalan KS Tubun, Karawaci, Tangerang.
In addition to carrying out security, officers were also seen making arrangements for traffic in front of the temple.
