Jakarta, InfoPublik - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati expressed her criticism and reminded a number of local governments that she believed still deposited a relatively large number of money in the banks.

"Those four local governments must be more creative in creating programs that could develop the regions, so that the budget would be absorbed optimally," said Sri Mulyani in Jakarta, Wednesday (12/27).

The four local governments were DKI Jakarta, Central Java, West Java, and East Java.

According to the minister, if the local governments do not know how to spend the budget, it is better not to spend them in order to avoid corruption.

"However, if they do not spend the budget, it means they are losing time to solve socio-economic problems of the people. It is a dilemma, dilemma of capacity," said the minister. (Translator: Erik Limantara)
