Two-Day Bazaar at Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs

Jakarta, InfoPublik - The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop UKM) organized a Bazaar of Ramadhan 1437 Hijri for two days at the front yard of the ministry’s office. Various goods are on sale with less than market prices.

Cooperatives and SMEs Minister AAGN Puspayoga said that the bazaar is organized annually and participated by 65 cooperatives and SMEs assisted by Cooperatives and SMEs Ministry, The bazaar is also participated by large companies such as Transmart and Sinarmas, under the condition that they must sell their products below market price.

"This event is expected to meet the people's needs. The more bazaars like this is the better because it can help ease people's burden, especially before Idul Fitri," said Puspayoga in Jakarta, Wednesday (6/22).

Minister Puspayoga continued that the bazaar sold low priced Indonesian local products of which the quality is competitive and even better than imported products.

In the bazaar, bottled cooking oil is only sold for Rp7,000 per liter while normal markets offer Rp15,000 per liter. In addition to cooking oil, onions are sold at Rp25,000 per kg while the normal market offer Rp35,000 per kg.

"Everything we sell here is really cheap. I plan to hold this event every year and expanding the participants for the benefit of the public, given the market price of food is raising," said Minister Puspayoga.

In addition to the bazaar, the ministry also organizes the provision of compensation to 20 orphans in the form of food packages, school equipments, and cash. Food packages are also distributed for free to 1,600 disadvantaged communities, employees, non-permanent employees, security officers, staffs and cleaning service officers working in the Ministry.
