Jakarta, InfoPublik—Indonesia Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Royal Malaysia Police is still investigating the parody video circulating on social media which discredits national anthem “Indonesia Raya”, as stated by the Ministry’s spokesperson Teuku Faizasyah on Monday (28/12).
"Based on the report from the Indonesian Embassy in KL, the Malaysian police are currently investigating this," as quoted from the statement.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Embassy through its Twitter account @MYEmbJKT, said this has been taken to the authorities. "If the content is uploaded by a Malaysian citizen, firm steps will be taken by the Malaysian Government in accordance with the provisions of the law," the statement said.
The Malaysian government also stated that it strongly condemns any form of negative provocation, including efforts or intentions to influence the bilateral relations between the two countries that have been established between the two Governments.
