Jakarta, Infopublik – Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto received a handover of Medical Supplies Assistance from China for the second time and will be used for Covid-19 handling in Indonesia, Soekarno Hatta Airport Cargo Terminal, Cengkareng, Tuesday, 12 May.
Medical Supplies Assistance from China comprising medical devices such as rapid test kits and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for health workers was previously received by Indonesia on Monday, 23 April 2020 at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base and was then handed over symbolically by Minister Prabowo to hospital representatives designated as referral hospitals for Covid-19.
As is known, Indonesian Defense Ministry together with the Indonesian Military (TNI) Headquarters successfully held a Humanitarian Aid operation to bring medical supplies assistance from China to help Indonesia fight the spread of Covid-19 in the country.
The Humanitarian Aid operation, which was initiated by Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, was carried out by the Defense Ministry and the TNI Headquarters with the support of China’s Ministry of Defense and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of a number of Chinese companies investing in Indonesia.
The second assistance comprises medical devices such as Disposable Medical Mask, Medical Surgical Mask, KN95 Respirator and Surgical Mask, Medical Goggles, Disposable Medical Protective Screen, Disposable Protective Jump Suit, Disposable Waterproof Isolation Gown, Medical Boot Cover, Disposable Nitrile Glove, Infusion Pump, Knapsack Disinfectant Sprayer 16L, Infrared Forehead Thermometer and Thermal Imaging Thermometer Helmet.
All medical supplies assistance will later be distributed to several hospitals under the coordination of Defense Ministry and the TNI and is expected to be able to assist in the Covid-19 handling in Indonesia.
