Jakarta, InfoPublik - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) launched e-learning module on financial for elementary and junior high school students.
"The objective is to develop students’ to learn finance through an interactive and innovative way, such as animation and games," said Tirta Segara, OJK’s member of commissioner board for education and consumer protection affairs in Jakarta, Monday (5/21).
According to Tirta, this module is a breakthrough to increase students’ financial literacy.
OJK aims to reach more Indonesian students with internet network so they can access financial literacy materials anywhere.
The use of this module is very practical because it can be directly accessed from PC, notebook, smartphone, tablet, or other electronic devices with internet connection.
This project is a cooperation between OJK and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). ADB fully supported all efforts to increase financial literacy and inclusion in the community, especially youth and student, one of which is realized through this module.
This effort is also one of OJK’s steps to follow the rapid development of information technology in Indonesia. E-learning module can be downloaded for free through Sikapi Uangmu (Manage your Money) minisite: www.sikapiuangmu.ojk.go.id
In the future, OJK together with international agencies and other stakeholders will continue to work together to improve literacy and financial inclusion in the community through various policies and programs that address public needs. (Translator: Rina Alexandra)
