Jakarta, InfoPublik – Indonesian Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry continues to coordinate with relevant ministries and institutions as an effort to further develop basic infrastructures and utilities in five super priority destinations.

President Joko Widodo previously targeted the construction of supporting infrastructure in five super priority destinations to be completed by the end of 2020.

The five super priority destinations are Lake Toba (North Sumatra), Borobudur (Magelang), Mandalika (West Nusa Tenggara), Labuan Bajo (East Nusa Tenggara), and Likupang (North Sulawesi).

"As far as the 10 priority destinations which are currently focused on 5 super priority destinations are concerned, we continue to coordinate with other ministries. We believe that the target set by the President will be achieved," Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Wishnutama Kusubandio stated in his official statement received by InfoPublik, Wednesday (6/11).

He explained that his administration is currently coordinating with various stake holders such as the Indonesian National Police and the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).

“Our administration have coordinated with the Chief of Police who are ready to support the stability of Indonesia's tourism security. We also have coordinated with BNPB relating natural disaster issues in Indonesia,” he said.

Wishnutama said that tourism-related issues such as airplane tickets issues will continue to be discussed with Transportation Ministry. He hoped the ticket prices should be made affordable not only for foreign tourists but also domestic tourists.
