Nusa Dua, Bali - Friends of Creative Economy (FCE) as part of World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) series of event emphasizes the importance of mutual understanding on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Intellectual Property (IP) plays a vital role in the modern economy because it provides added value and protection so as to improve the welfare of creative economy players.
The statement was delivered by Head of Indonesian Agency for Creative Economy Triawan Munaf in World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) 2018 at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center on Tuesday (6/11).
According to Triawan, the world is well aware of and encourages the importance of IPR ownership. In India, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) was held on digital IP. In Mexico, protection of music copyright is also being discussed.
"IP is crucial for the community since it provides added value and protection so the creators or inventors can reap the full benefits of their inventions. Hence, comprehensive discussion is needed," Triawan said.
