Nusa Dua, InfoPublik - Creative Economy Animation Industry has the potential to absorb 159 million workers by the time Indonesia experiences a demographic bonus in 2030.

"This business employs a lot of personnel in just one animation project," said Director of Technology at Bali Animasi Solusi Ekakarsa (BASE) Daniel Harjanto during the Creative Session of World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE), Nusa Dua, Bali, Tuesday (6/11).

He said that this type of industry involves many components, each of which has its specific task. In order to maintain the quality of animated movies, no one is allowed to do multiple tasks.

"Animation is giving life to an inanimate object, not only to make it move but also to give a life," he said.

He also explained that the work process also takes longer than non-animated movies.

"The making process of the Lion King took seven years, unlike other films," he said.

Indonesian Agency for Creative Economy (Bekraf) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs hold the first ever World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) on 6—8 November, at Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), Nusa Dua, Bali.

The conference will discuss the theme "Inclusively Creative" where creative industries have created competitive ecosystems by providing equal opportunity for everyone regardless of age, gender, background and geographic location.

There are five main issues to be discussed, namely Social Impacts of Creative Economy, regulations, integrated marketing, favorable ecosystems, and world creative economy. (Bekraf)
