Jakarta, InfoPublik – PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) through its two subsidiaries, PT PHE Simenggaris in partnership with PT Medco Energi E&P Simenggaris in Simenggaris working area and PT PHE Tomori Sulawesi in partnership with PT Medco E&P Tomori Sulawesi and Tomori E&P Ltd in Senoro-Toili working area, signed a Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement (PJBG) with PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) (PLN) totaling 37.23 Trillion British Thermal Unit (TBTU) gas.
The signing of the two agreements was held simultaneously with the opening of the Indopacific LNG Summit 2018 annual event held at Nusa Dua Convention Center Bali on Tuesday (2/6).
PHE President Director, R. Gunung Sardjono Hadi in his statement received by Infopublik on Wednesday (2/7) said that the effort is a PHE’s concrete step as one of Pertamina's subsidiaries to contribute positively.
"The agreement signing demonstrates our strong commitment to support the national strategic and electricity industry as well as the PHE's strategic move to monetize the gas. In the future, this gas supply will be utilized to support the fulfillment of PLN needs in the provinces of North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan and Central Sulawesi, "he said.
One of the two agreements include gas sale purchase agreement from Simenggaris working area of South Sembakung field operated by Joint Operating Body (JOB) Pertamina Medco E&P Simenggaris with total contract quantity of 21.6 TBTU or daily delivery amount of 8 BBTUD.
The second agreement is PJBG from Senoro-Toili working area from Senoro field operated by JOB Pertamina Medco E&P Tomori Sulawesi with total contract quantity of 15.63 TBTU or daily submission amount of 5 BBTUD. (Translator: Wilda Stiana)
