Jakarta, InfoPublik – Finance Ministry’s director general of taxation Ken Dwijugiasteadi said that most of declared and repatriated assets came from Singapore, Australia, Switzerland, the United States, and Virgin Islands.
"Of the five countries with the largest repatriated assets, Singapore comes in the first position," Ken said in Jakarta, Tuesday (9/6).
Singapore, he continued, had Rp6.2 trillion worth of repatriated assets and Rp30.4 trillion worth of declared assets. Then, Australia had Rp124.7 billion worth of repatriated assets and Rp2.4 trillion worth of declared assets.
Meanwhile, Switzerland had Rp677.1 billion worth of repatriated assets and Rp660.3 billion worth of declared assets. Then, the U.S. had Rp86.2 billion worth of repatriated assets and Rp914.9 billion worth of declared assets. Virgin Islands had Rp32.6 billion worth of repatriated assets and Rp927.3 billion worth of declared assets.
Ken hopes that the number of repatriated assets will continue to increase until the end of September. By Sep. 5, total redeemed funds in the country’s tax amnesty policy had reached Rp4.78 trillion and declared assets had reached Rp223.89 trillion.
Domestic declared assets reached Rp175.21 trillion. Meanwhile, overseas declared assets reached Rp35.6 trillion and repatriated assets reached Rp13.08 trillion. (Translator: Erik Limantara)
