Jakarta, InfoPublik – The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) received 184 reports of violations in the regional head election (Pilkada) 2018.
"Three have been decided in court. One of them took place in Kotamobagu City in North Sulawesi," said Bawaslu member Ratna Dewi Pettalolo in her written statement on Sunday (4/8).
According to Ratna, most of alleged violation reports submitted to Bawaslu were on the involvement of state civil servants (ASN) in regent, mayor, and governor campaigns.
"The highest numbers of ASN involvement in political campaign are in Southeast Sulawesi and South Sulawesi," she explained.
She stated that civil servants suspected of violation had been reported directly to the ASN Commission for sanctions.
Pilkada 2018 will be held in 171 regions and voting will take place on Jun. 27, 2018. (Translator: Wilda Stiana)
