Jakarta, InfoPublik – Indonesian Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi appreciated the Eastern Indonesia Youth Camp event scheduled to be held in Ambon, Maluku on 27 February 2017.
The good response was expressed by the Minister upon receiving the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle's (PDIP) senior politician Firman Jaya Daeli along with Communion of Churches in Indonesia (PGI) entourage. The visit was aimed to invite Youth and Sports Minister to open Eastern Indonesia Youth Camp. "I support this event, and feel happy and helped in my effort to develop the youth," said the Minister in Jakarta, Tuesday (7/2).
Firman Jaya Daeli said this youth camp will be attended by around 1500 people. "The Minister is to present in the youth aspect as well as in the national perspective aspect," he said.
Meanwhile, PGI chairman Rev. Lies Sumampau explained that this camp will take place on 27 February to 3 March 2017 and will raise two issues, including giving spiritual values and societal value to church youth. "In regards of societal value, we encourage the young generation to maintain the integrity of Indonesia and to develop creativity. Therefor we expect the youth to achieve their mission and vision," said Lies. (Translator: Siti Chodijah)
