Media Center Indonesia for Mandalika MotoGP 2022 Is Officially Operational

Mandalika, InfoPublik – Media Center Indonesia (MCI) for Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia or Mandalika MotoGP 2022 is officially operational from Thursday (17/3/2022).

The MCI stands on a 500 square meters land and is in close proximity with the paddock of Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit. MCI serves as a supporting facility for journalists who cover Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia.

“Journalists can take full advantage of the facilities at Media Center Indonesia (MCI),” said the Director General of Public Information and Communication (Dirjen IKP) of the Ministry of Communications and Informatics, Usman Kansong, when he officially inaugurated MCI’s operations in Mandalika, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

This center is also equipped with high-speed internet network at 100 Mbps, while other facilities such as food and beverages, 20 laptops, printers, televisions, and massage chairs are also provided in MCI. There are also six air conditioners in the room. MCI will be operating from 08.00 – 17.00 WITA (Central Indonesian Time) on March 18-20, 2022.

Usman also said that journalists are frontliners in building positive narrations related to Mandalika MotoGP 2022. Such positive narrations will certainly help in developing a positive branding of Indonesia in the world community.

“Let’s collaborate by providing positive news for the best interest of the nation,” he said.

In the same occasion, NTB Police Head of Public Relations Sr. Comr. Artanto expressed his gratitude to the ministry for setting up the MCI as an information center for journalist’s coverage.

“We believe that Mandalika MotoGP 2022 will be heard throughout the nation. And it will be thanks to this MCI among others,” he said.

Meanwhile, the ministry’s Director of Information and Communication for the Economic and Maritime Affairs, Septriana Tangkary, said that MCI serves to bridge the journalists and public who are not in the location to hear the excitement and enthusiasm of Mandalika MotoGP 2022.

“MCI is expected to help the works of journalists in spreading the information about series of events in MotoGP 2022,” she said.

The opening of MCI for Mandalika MotoGP 2022 was also attended by President Director of Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), Priandi Satria, Head of Communications, Informatics, and Statistics Agency, Najamuddin Amy, as well as the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy’s Director of National and International Event, Dessy Ruhati.
