Jakarta, InfoPublik - Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Ignasius Jonan held a series of business meetings with a number of investors in Tokyo, Japan.
"We want to hear firsthand information and input from large-scale investors of electricity and oil and gas in Japan. We will encourage and help their investment to be realized without any constraints," said Minister Jonan in his official statement on Monday (5/15).
He arrived in Tokyo on Sunday (5/14). On the first day, he had meetings with former Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Tanizaki and with Indonesian diaspora at the School of the Republic of Indonesia in Tokyo.
On Monday morning (5/15), Jonan visited the headquarters of Mitsubishi to discuss with the Mitsubishi’s CEO and president Takehiko Kakeuchi. Jonan continued his meeting with Marubeni’s CEO and president Fumiya Kokubi at Marubeni headquarters.
Then, the entourage had a lunch meeting with the Japanese Prime Minister’s chief of staff Hiroto Izumi. Afterward, Minister Jonan met Japanese Economy, Trade, and Industry Minister Hiroshige Seko.
Jonan's series of business meetings on Monday (15/5) was concluded at the headquarters of Tokyo Gas to meet Tokyo Gas representative director and president Michiaki Hiroshe. The series of business meetings resumed on Tuesday (5/16). There are four agendas to be discussed with investors, among others, Masela Inpex Block.
In a meeting with the Indonesian diaspora in Tokyo, Jonan answered nine questions, among others, the negotiation status with Freeport and the development and problem of new and renewable energy. (Translator: Filmon Warouw)
