Government to allocate Rp2.1 trillion for free seeds in 2018

Jakarta, InfoPublik – Agriculture Ministry will allocate Rp2.1 trillion for free seeds procurement to increase production in 2018.

“We have allocated Rp2.1 trillion to provide free seeds for the public,” said Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman in a general lecture at Padjadjaran University, West Java on Monday (5/15).

“In the future, every region must have featured products or commodities for export market. I hope every region can put aside its ego and start to cooperate for developing national agriculture.”

“If education, government, and private sectors collaborate, the agricultural and even the national problems will be solved.”

He also hoped agricultural research results could be implemented for the sake of people.

“We have found superior chili seed and other agricultural research results that can be developed,” he concluded. (Translator: Filmon Warouw)
