Jakarta, InfoPublik - Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo stated that the condition of Indonesia’s border areas are now improved.
"In accordance with [the third target] of Nawacita [President Jokowi’s nine priorities]—developing rural areas, now we have finished construction development in border areas," said Minister Tjahjo in a press release on Saturday (3/18).
He said the government focuses on supporting programs at the border areas, such as building tertiary referral hospitals and traditional market as well as improving the quality of human resources.
He said the focus of government’s five-year development plan is realizing equitable social and economic infrastructure development in Indonesia.
He added that Indonesia is listed in the countries with the most increasing economic growth.
"President Jokowi aims to complete social infrastructure development in 2018," he concluded. (Translator: Sugiarti)
