Jakarta, InfoPublik – Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo launched national initiative program to support Indonesia Investment Week 2017 at Sasana Bhakti Praja building in Jakarta on Tuesday (3/14).
The program is aimed to boost business opportunities exploration and promotion as well as global market investment, Minister Tjahjo said.
"We always urge the local governments to improve investment regulations. We welcome and thank the organizers and local governments [for this effort]," said Home Affairs Ministry as quoted from his press release on Tuesday (3/14).
Meanwhile, Zaidin Zaiti, the chair of the event’s organizing committee, stated that Indonesia Investment Week 2017 will be a strategic breakthrough for all national development stakeholders.
"This event will encourage local governments to increase their capacity in improving regulation and creativity on how to offer business opportunities," said Zaidin.
Several officials who attended the event were National Development Planning Agency’s (Bappenas) economic affairs deputy Leonard Tampubolon; Investment Coordinating Board’s (BKPM) control and realization deputy Azhar Lubis; Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Ngurah Swajaya; Indonesian Chamber of Commerce chairman Rosan Roeslani; National Economic and Industry Committee (KEIN) vice-chair Arif Budimanta, and Foreign Minister’s special advisor.
